Enter this sanctuary time by settling down, becoming quiet, and breathing deeply some breaths. Remind yourself you are in the Presence of Love. This place you are entering, within, is the inner Temple, where you are One with God. You may wish to use a mantra, or prayer phrase, follow the breathing in-and-out, or witness the arising and falling of all around you as the manifestation of universal-God. Enjoy these moments of quietly settling and come out when you are ready.

"Laws as such do not make people better," said Mulla Nasrudin to the King; "they must practice certain things, in order to become attuned to inner truth. This form of truth resembles apparent truth only slightly."
The King decided that he could, and would, make people observe the truth. He could make them practice truthfulness.
His city was entered by a bridge. On this he built a gallows. The following day, when the gates were opened at dawn, the Captain of the Guard was stationed with a squad of troops to examine all who entered.
An announcement was made: "Everyone will be questioned. If he tells the truth, he will be allowed to enter. If he lies, he will be hanged."
Nasrudin stepped forward.
"Where are you going?"
"I am on my way," said Nasrudin slowly, "to be hanged."
"We don't believe you!"
"Very well, if I have told a lie, hang me!"
"But if we hang you for lying, we will have made what you said come true!"
"That's right: now you know what truth is - YOUR truth!"

Laws are not designed to make one free, they control those who need controlling; truths in themselves do not lead one to Reality. Truths and Truth are not the same. Truth is Reality. Truth sets free, not like law, which cannot. When we grow into a relationship with Truth, we are no longer bound to truths, which are only illusions of Truth. This is in the sense that truths are indicators, but they themselves are only concepts, only ideas.
Truth is God, or whatever we call the Source of truths. I can say I k now the truth of you being before me. When, however, I move beyond all ideas of you, then I truly know you as Truth. Thus, when we know the Reality of anything, not the appearance, we know God, we know Truth.
When Jesus, in the Gospels says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life,” he is not saying that only through him as the appearance Jesus persons will find Life. He is speaking from the mystical identification with Father-Mother, his Source, our Source. He is saying, “I am fully in the Truth; I am the Truth fully.” Then, we know Jesus as Friend by, likewise, joining him in communion and oneness with the Source, through the Holy Spirit, the Connection awakening us to the One Triune Reality.
Jesus is not speaking principally about himself. He is speaking of Truth, not truths. The religion built up around Jesus is based on separation. Truth is reduced to truths, ideas competing with other ideas. Yes, when one can say, with Jesus, “I am the way, the truth, and the life,” he or she is experiencing Union with the Father-Mother, through the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, and with Jesus.
We make truths, as we try to formulate what we think is true. Yet, Truth is not made. Truth made and makes us, eternally. We are child of Truth.
Meditation moves us from truths to Truth. At that point, there is no separation, not even between what we could call “God” and “I.” God, then, being Truth, is not outside us, inside us, up there, down there, or anywhere. Truth is. Faith leads us to drop trying to understand that. There is nothing, then, to understand, for understanding has to do with concepts, ideas, truths; understanding is within the world of competing thoughts. Understanding is within the dualities of varied ways, truths, and lives. Truth is the Way, Truth, and Life.
One idea of the Way, is a mental separation from Way
One idea of the Truth, is a mental separation from Truth
One idea of the Life, is a mental separation from Life
What is Truth? How might truths aid us? Hinder us? In what sense are you the Truth? Others the Truth?
